About the Treatment
Depressed acne scars can remain long after acne has cleared and often do not respond well to skincare, microneedling or superficial chemical peels alone. At MPower Clinic, we offer advanced doctor-led acne scar resurfacing using subcision, TCA CROSS, or a combination of both to target the underlying causes of atrophic acne scars. Subcision is used to release the fibrous bands that tether rolling or bound-down scars to the underlying tissue, allowing the skin to elevate naturally whilst stimulating new collagen production. TCA CROSS (Chemical Reconstruction of Skin Scars) involves the precise application of high-strength trichloroacetic acid directly into individual deep scars, encouraging collagen remodelling from within. It is particularly effective for ice-pick and narrow boxcar scars. Because most patients have a mixture of scar types, treatment is often tailored using a combination of techniques during the same appointment. Treatment is priced according to the extent of treatment required. Following your assessment, we'll advise whether a minimal or extensive treatment session is appropriate based on the number, type and severity of your acne scars. New patients must book ‘Assess + Treat’ for their first appointment. For optimal results, we may also recommend combining your treatment with adjunctive procedures such as regenerative injectables, skin boosters or chemical resurfacing where clinically appropriate. Most patients benefit from a course of 2–4 treatment sessions, typically spaced 6–12 weeks apart, with results continuing to develop over several months as new collagen forms. Booking Policy
To ensure a smooth and fair experience for all patients, the following policies apply to every booking: 1. Consultations A consultation is required before all treatments. Fees vary by consultation type and may be partially redeemable. Medical history must be updated every 12 months via our Intake Form. Personalised treatment plans and quotes are valid for 30 days following consultation, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Quotes are subject to clinical reassessment if medical history or treatment suitability changes during the period of validity. 2. Deposits A deposit is required to secure all appointments. Deposits are deducted from your treatment cost. 3. Cancellations & Rescheduling 48+ hours’ notice: deposit fully refundable. Less than 48 hours’ notice: deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred once at MPower Clinic’s discretion, with a £50 rescheduling fee (maximum twice per treatment, after that deposit if forfeited) No-show: deposit forfeited. 4. Late Arrivals Late arrivals (15+ minutes): we may be unable to proceed, and the deposit may be forfeited. Please arrive 10 minutes early for paperwork. 5. Treatment Suitability All treatments require a clinical assessment. If the treatment is unsuitable, your deposit may be refunded or transferred to another service. 6. Children & Under-18s Due to medical equipment, no children or under-18s are permitted in treatment rooms. We do not treat anyone under 18. 7. Packages & Courses Packages are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Finance options may be available. 8. Payment Plans & Finance Klarna via Stripe is available for eligible treatments (£250+). In-house monthly payment plans are available for select packages. Treatments can only be carried out in line with the instalment progress. 9. eGift Cards Valid for 12 months. Include 10% added value. Non-refundable and cannot be used toward deposits or finance plans. 10. Clinic Rights MPower Clinic may refuse treatment or amend policies, prices, or services at any time.
