About the Treatment

£85 for assessment and first gas cartridge. £60 per additional gas cartridge per session. If, during your Cryotherapy suitability assessment, there are any concerning lesions identified, we can refer you to Dermatology. You will be charged £30 for the assessment and can transfer any remaining balance to the cost of referral (£150). Please note that this does not include the treatment of the lesion if it is found to be benign after Dermatology results. CryoPen® uses high-pressure nitrous oxide to freeze and remove benign skin lesions. The cold causes the lesion to scab and fall off, allowing healthy skin to regenerate. The procedure is precise, minimally invasive, and typically results in minimal scarring. Concerns Treated: Skin tags, warts, seborrheic keratoses, age/sun spots, verruca, and milia. Only suitable for benign lesions confirmed by a practitioner. May need referral to dermatology or GP if any concerns, do not provide a histology service. Most lesions resolve in 1 session; stubborn lesions may require multiple sessions 2–6 weeks apart. Pre-Treatment Advice: Avoid antihistamines 2–3 days prior unless prescribed. Ensure the area is clean and free of creams or makeup. Avoid sun exposure on the area. Inform your practitioner of medications, supplements, or health issues. Do not treat if pregnant, breastfeeding, or hypersensitive to cold. Post-Treatment Advice: Mild stinging, redness, or swelling is normal. Lesions may darken and scab; do not pick scabs. Healing: 2–6 weeks depending on depth/location. Keep the area dry initially; avoid swimming, saunas, steam rooms, and excessive sweating for 3 days. Use a plaster in high-bacterial areas if advised. After scab falls, apply SPF50 to prevent pigmentation changes. Contact your practitioner if signs of infection or delayed healing occur. Suitable For: Patients with confirmed benign lesions seeking non-invasive removal. Contraindications: Cold hypersensitivity, impaired circulation/sensation, open wounds, cardiac disease, recent scars, keloid-prone skin, pregnancy/breastfeeding, unstable diabetes, chemotherapy/radiotherapy.
