About the Treatment

This service includes complimentary LED Light Therapy when booking a course. PRP administrated via micro-injections, however microneedling is available as an add-on extra for £50. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy for the face uses your own blood’s natural growth factors to support skin repair and renewal. After a small blood sample is taken, it is processed in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. PRP contains a high concentration of platelets and growth factors that may stimulate collagen, elastin, and tissue regeneration, helping to rejuvenate skin health from within. Concerns this treatment may address: Fine lines and early wrinkles Uneven skin tone or texture Dull, tired, or dehydrated-looking skin Mild acne scarring Loss of elasticity Results are gradual, as the treatment relies on your body’s natural healing process. Improvements typically become noticeable after several weeks, with full benefits visible at 3–6 months. A course of 3 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, is often recommended for optimal results. The procedure usually takes 45–60 minutes, including blood collection, preparation, and treatment. Discomfort is minimal, often described as a slight sting or pressure. Most clients return to normal activity straight away. While PRP is considered safe since it uses your own blood, possible side effects include redness, swelling, bruising, or mild tenderness, which usually resolve quickly. Rare risks such as infection or allergic reaction to ancillary products will be discussed at consultation. Pre-treatment advice Stay well hydrated in the days before your appointment. Avoid alcohol and smoking for 24–48 hours beforehand. Avoid anti-inflammatories (ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen), fish oils, Vitamin E, and herbal supplements (e.g., Ginkgo, St John’s Wort) for 3 days prior (unless prescribed), as these may increase bruising. Do not attend if you are unwell or have an active infection. Inform your practitioner of any changes to your medical history or medications. Post-treatment advice Mild redness, swelling, or bruising is normal and should resolve within 24–48 hours. Avoid makeup for 24 hours to reduce infection risk. Avoid strenuous exercise, swimming, saunas, or heat exposure for 24 hours. Cleanse gently on the evening of treatment. Keep skin hydrated and apply SPF daily. Avoid active skincare (retinoids, acids, exfoliants) for 5 days post-treatment. Contact your practitioner if you have any concerns.
