About the Treatment

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a regenerative treatment that uses your body's own concentrated platelets and growth factors to support skin repair, renewal and collagen production. These natural proteins help stimulate cell turnover, improve circulation and encourage tissue regeneration, helping to improve overall skin quality from within. A small blood sample is taken and processed in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma, which is then carefully injected into the treatment area. Because PRP uses your own blood, it is a completely natural treatment that works with your body's own healing processes. PRP is typically delivered via injections, but can also be upgraded to microneedling, allowing the growth factors to be distributed more widely across the skin's surface for enhanced skin rejuvenation. PRP can be used to rejuvenate the full face, under-eyes, neck, scalp and body, improving skin quality, tissue health and regeneration from within. Many patients begin to notice improvements after several weeks, with continued benefits developing over 3–6 months. Most patients require an initial course of 3 treatments for facial rejuvenation, although some concerns may benefit from up to 6 sessions. Treatments are usually spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance every 6–9 months. Treatment typically takes 45–60 minutes, including blood collection, preparation and treatment. Pre-treatment advice Stay well hydrated for 24–48 hours beforehand Avoid alcohol and smoking for 24–48 hours Avoid anti-inflammatory or blood-thinning medications where possible (unless prescribed) Do not attend if you are unwell or have an active infection Aftercare Mild redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness are normal Avoid makeup for 24 hours Avoid strenuous exercise, swimming, saunas and excessive heat for 24 hours Use gentle skincare and apply SPF daily Avoid retinoids, acids and exfoliants for 5 days Please note: PRP is a regenerative treatment rather than an instant fix. Results develop gradually over time as your body naturally produces new collagen and repairs the skin.
