About the Treatment

Fat dissolving injections are a non-surgical treatment designed to reduce small, localised pockets of stubborn fat that may persist despite a healthy diet and regular exercise. Using carefully placed injections, the product breaks down the membranes of fat cells, allowing your body to naturally remove them over the following weeks to create a slimmer, more contoured appearance. At MPower Clinic, every treatment is tailored to your individual anatomy and goals. We currently offer DesoFace for facial contouring and DesoBody for selected areas of the body. During your consultation, your suitability will be assessed and a personalised treatment plan created based on the treatment area, the amount of fat present and your desired outcome. Treatment areas include: • DesoFace: Chin, Jowls, Cheek contouring, and Jawline contouring. • DesoBody – Localised Areas: Neck ("buffalo") hump, Armpit bulge, Inner knees, and selected small lower abdominal fat pockets. • DesoBody – Larger Areas: Upper arms ("bingo wings"), Medium hips ("love handles"), Bra line/upper abdomen, Back roll, Inner thighs, Outer thighs, Mons Pubis (vaginal mound), and Male chest ("moobs"). • DesoBody – LargePlus Areas: Abdomen, Thighs, Flanks, and Larger hips ("love handles"). Fat dissolving injections are intended for body and facial contouring rather than weight loss and are most effective for patients who are close to their ideal weight but have isolated areas of stubborn fat. The treatment permanently reduces the number of fat cells within the treated area. However, maintaining a stable weight remains important, as the remaining fat cells can still enlarge with future weight gain. Most patients require a course of 2–4 treatments, spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart. Improvements develop gradually as your body clears the treated fat cells, with the final result becoming apparent several weeks after your last session. Swelling, particularly beneath the chin, is an expected part of the healing process, with temporary tenderness, bruising, redness and firmness also being common.
