About the Treatment

This service includes complimentary LED Light Therapy when booking a course. If booking a maintenance session, please add on your LED Light Therapy for an additional £20. PRP administrated via micro-injections, however microneedling is available as an add-on extra for £50. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy for the scalp is a doctor-led treatment designed to support hair and scalp health. It uses your own blood’s natural growth factors to stimulate and repair at the follicle level. After a small blood sample is taken, it is processed to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. This is then carefully delivered into targeted areas of the scalp to help encourage healthier conditions for hair growth. PRP does not artificially replace hair but instead works with your body’s natural healing processes to create a stronger environment for follicles. This may help improve scalp health, reduce shedding, and restore vitality to thinning or weakened hair. Concerns this treatment may address: Thinning hair or increased shedding Early signs of male or female pattern hair loss Reduced hair density or volume Weak or fragile hair growth Poor scalp condition Consultation Every patient begins with a consultation to assess suitability. We will review your medical history, examine the scalp, and discuss your concerns. You’ll be advised on what results may realistically be achieved and whether PRP is appropriate as a standalone treatment or as part of a wider plan (e.g., combined with Exosome therapy or medical treatments). Pre-treatment advice: Stay well hydrated in the days before treatment. Avoid alcohol and smoking for 24–48 hours beforehand. Do not take anti-inflammatory medicines (e.g., ibuprofen) for 48 hours before, unless prescribed. Wash your hair on the morning of your appointment. Arrive with a clean scalp, free from styling products. Post-treatment advice: Some tenderness, redness, or mild swelling of the scalp is normal for 24–48 hours. Avoid washing your hair or using styling products for 24 hours. Do not use heat treatments (hairdryers, straighteners) for 48 hours. Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, or steam rooms for 48 hours. Refrain from anti-inflammatory medicines (unless prescribed) for 48 hours post-treatment. Protect your scalp from sun exposure and use SPF if outdoors. This treatment is tailored for each patient, with a course of sessions often recommended for optimal results.
