About the Treatment

Botulinum Toxin is a prescription-only medical treatment utilized to block nerve signals. In medical applications, it temporarily switches off sweat glands or intercepts pain pathways to manage debilitating conditions. Medical Indications & Treatment Areas: Hyperhidrosis: Targeted injections into the skin to safely and effectively suppress excessive sweating across underarms, scalp, hands etc. Chronic Migraine + Pain Management: Specialised injections across specific muscular trigger points including the forehead, temples, back of the head, neck, and shoulders to reduce the frequency and severity of headaches. What to Expect Procedure: Administered via a micro-fine needle. While hyperhidrosis treatments are relatively comfortable, migraine protocols involve multiple small injections across the head and neck, which may cause a temporary stinging sensation. Timeline: Hyperhidrosis relief typically begins within 4–14 days and lasts up to 6–9 months. Migraine prevention benefits usually develop over 1–2 weeks, with optimal cumulative effects seen after multiple sessions (repeated every 12 weeks). Downtime: Minimal; normal non-strenuous activities can be resumed immediately. Pre-Treatment Advice 3 Days Before: Avoid alcohol and non-prescribed anti-inflammatories (ibuprofen, aspirin) to minimise the risk of localised bruising. Underarm Preparation: For hyperhidrosis, please shave the underarms 2–3 days prior to your appointment (do not shave on the day of treatment). Avoid applying clinical antiperspirant for 24 hours before. Health: Do not attend if you are actively unwell or have a skin infection at any planned injection site. Post-Treatment Care First 24 Hours: Do not vigorously rub, massage, or apply pressure to any treated zones. Avoid applying deodorant or antiperspirant to the underarms. Day 1: Avoid strenuous exercise, hot showers, saunas, and steam rooms. Next 2 Weeks: Avoid heavy neck/shoulder massages if treated for migraines. Safety & Side Effects Normal: Mild localised tenderness, temporary muscle weakness near the injection sites, minor swelling, or a brief post-treatment headache are normal and resolve within days. Urgent: Contact the clinic immediately if you experience difficulties swallowing, speaking, or breathing, muscle weakness away from the injection site, or visual disturbances.
