Milia Removal

About the Treatment
Milia are small, firm white or yellow cysts that form when keratin (a natural skin protein) becomes trapped beneath the surface of the skin. They are harmless but can be difficult to remove and often persist for months or even years without treatment. They commonly occur around the eyes, cheeks, nose and forehead, and unlike spots or whiteheads, they cannot simply be squeezed out. Attempting to do so at home can cause unnecessary trauma, inflammation, scarring and pigmentation changes. At MPower Clinic, milia are removed using a sterile, fine needle to create a tiny opening in the skin before carefully extracting the trapped keratin. This precise technique allows for controlled removal whilst minimising trauma to the surrounding skin. Most milia can be treated in a single session, although larger or multiple lesions may require additional treatment. Pre-treatment advice Attend with clean skin and avoid heavy makeup Avoid retinoids, acids and exfoliants for 2–3 days beforehand Inform your practitioner of any active skin infections or recent facial treatments Aftercare Mild redness and tenderness are normal for 24–48 hours Avoid touching or picking the treated area Avoid makeup for 12–24 hours Avoid excessive heat, swimming and strenuous exercise for 24 hours Apply SPF daily to protect the skin during healing Please note: Milia can occasionally recur, particularly in individuals prone to developing them or where contributing factors remain present.
Booking Policy
To ensure a smooth and fair experience for all patients, the following policies apply to every booking: 1. Consultations A consultation is required before all treatments. Fees vary by consultation type and may be partially redeemable. Medical history must be updated every 12 months via our Intake Form. Personalised treatment plans and quotes are valid for 30 days following consultation, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Quotes are subject to clinical reassessment if medical history or treatment suitability changes during the period of validity. 2. Deposits A deposit is required to secure all appointments. Deposits are deducted from your treatment cost. 3. Cancellations & Rescheduling 48+ hours’ notice: deposit fully refundable. Less than 48 hours’ notice: deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred once at MPower Clinic’s discretion, with a £50 rescheduling fee (maximum twice per treatment, after that deposit if forfeited) No-show: deposit forfeited. 4. Late Arrivals Late arrivals (15+ minutes): we may be unable to proceed, and the deposit may be forfeited. Please arrive 10 minutes early for paperwork. 5. Treatment Suitability All treatments require a clinical assessment. If the treatment is unsuitable, your deposit may be refunded or transferred to another service. 6. Children & Under-18s Due to medical equipment, no children or under-18s are permitted in treatment rooms. We do not treat anyone under 18. 7. Packages & Courses Packages are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Finance options may be available. 8. Payment Plans & Finance Klarna via Stripe is available for eligible treatments (£250+). In-house monthly payment plans are available for select packages. Treatments can only be carried out in line with the instalment progress. 9. eGift Cards Valid for 12 months. Include 10% added value. Non-refundable and cannot be used toward deposits or finance plans. 10. Clinic Rights MPower Clinic may refuse treatment or amend policies, prices, or services at any time.
