About the Treatment
Complimentary: Includes up to 3 Dermatology referrals and 3 lesion scans for the £350 package price. Additional lesions or referrals can be arranged and discussed during your consultation. An assessment of moles and pigmented lesions designed to help identify any that might be suspicious of potential skin cancers, including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma (BCC), and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Mole Mapping is ideal for individuals at higher risk of developing skin cancer, particularly those with: A large number of moles Irregular or unusually shaped moles A personal or family history of skin cancer It’s also recommended for those with pale or sensitive skin that burns easily, or who have experienced significant sun exposure or sunburn over the years. Regular screening allows for early detection and peace of mind, helping to monitor any changes in your moles or localised skin concerns. Stage 1: Consultation and Imaging Your appointment begins with a short questionnaire to assess your risk factors for skin cancer, followed by a consent form. You’ll be asked to identify the mole(s) or pigmented lesion(s) you’d like scanned. A high-resolution dermatoscopic image of each lesion is then taken using specialist imaging equipment. These images, along with your assessment information, are sent securely to a Consultant Dermatologist for expert analysis. Stage 2: Dermatology Review and Results The scans are reviewed by a Dermatology Consultant Specialist for any signs of malignant melanoma, BCC, or SCC, with results typically returned within 3 working days. If a lesion appears suspicious, a decision will be made to either arrange a private dermatology referral or provide a referral letter for your NHS GP. Important Note: Our bodies and moles are always changing. Even moles previously considered normal can alter over time. Regular self-checks using the ABCDE rule (Asymmetry, Border, Colour, Diameter, Evolving) are essential for ongoing monitoring. Please note that this service does not provide a direct diagnosis of skin cancer, but rather an expert dermatological assessment to determine whether further investigation is needed.
Booking Policy
To ensure a smooth and fair experience for all patients, the following policies apply to every booking: 1. Consultations A consultation is required before all treatments. Fees vary by consultation type and may be partially redeemable. Medical history must be updated every 12 months via our Intake Form. 2. Deposits A deposit is required to secure all appointments. Deposits are deducted from your treatment cost. 3. Cancellations & Rescheduling 48+ hours’ notice: deposit fully refundable. Less than 48 hours: deposit non-refundable (may be transferred once). No-shows: deposit forfeited. 4. Late Arrivals Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in your appointment being cancelled and the deposit lost. Please arrive 10 minutes early for paperwork. 5. Treatment Suitability All treatments require a clinical assessment. If unsuitable for a treatment, your deposit can be refunded or transferred to another service. 6. Children & Under-18s Due to medical equipment, no children or under-18s are permitted in treatment rooms. We do not treat anyone under 18. 7. Packages & Courses Packages are valid for 6 months from purchase. Sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Finance options may be available. 8. Payment Plans & Finance Klarna via Stripe is available for eligible treatments (£250+). In-house monthly payment plans are available for select packages. Treatments can only be carried out in line with instalment progress. 9. eGift Cards Valid for 12 months. Include 10% added value. Non-refundable and cannot be used toward deposits or finance plans. 10. Clinic Rights MPower Clinic may refuse treatment or amend policies, prices, or services at any time.
