What is included in the Hair Restoration Complex?
The Hair Restoration Complex combines two essential vitamins that play key roles in maintaining healthy hair growth: Vitamin B12 and Biotin (Vitamin B7).
Both are administered via intramuscular (IM) injection, allowing them to bypass the digestive system for reliable absorption. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals with deficiencies, impaired gut absorption, increased nutritional demands, or those simply looking to optimise their nutritional support for healthier hair.
How do these vitamins help with hair growth?
Vitamin B12 and biotin work together to support healthy hair growth from the inside out.
Vitamin B12 supports healthy hair growth by helping your body produce red blood cells, which deliver oxygen and nutrients to the hair follicles. It also plays an essential role in DNA synthesis and cell division, both of which are vital for the rapid turnover of hair follicle cells.
Biotin (Vitamin B7) is an essential B vitamin involved in keratin production, the protein that makes up your hair. It supports healthy hair strength, thickness and resilience, particularly in individuals with a biotin deficiency.
Whilst these injections are not a treatment for genetic hair loss in individuals with normal vitamin levels, they can play an important supportive role by correcting deficiencies and creating the optimal internal environment for healthy hair growth. Pre-Treatment Advice
• Eat and drink normally before your appointment and ensure you are well hydrated.
• Inform your practitioner of any recent changes to your health, medications, allergies, or supplements.
• Inform your practitioner if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, or undergoing IVF.
• Inform your practitioner if you have any history of kidney disease, liver disease, blood disorders, or other significant medical conditions.
• Inform your practitioner if you have any known vitamin deficiencies or are already taking high-dose supplements.
• Wear clothing that allows easy access to the upper arm or upper outer buttock, depending on the injection site.
• If you feel unwell on the day of treatment, please contact your practitioner to reschedule.
Post-Treatment Advice
• Most people can resume normal daily activities immediately after treatment.
• Mild redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising, or soreness at the injection site is common and should settle within a few days.
• Keep the injection site clean and dry for 24 hours.
• Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours if the area feels tender.
• Stay well hydrated following treatment.
• Continue taking any prescribed medications as normal unless advised otherwise.
• A small lump or firmness at the injection site may occasionally occur and should settle within a few days.
• Results vary between individuals and may be gradual rather than immediate.
