Microneedling
Doctor led aesthetic clinic, west midlands
What Is Medical-Grade Microneedling?
Medical-grade microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is an advanced treatment that stimulates your body's natural healing response to improve skin quality, texture and overall skin health.
Using a medical-grade automated device fitted with a sterile, single-use needle cartridge, thousands of microscopic channels are created within the skin. These controlled micro-injuries stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin whilst enhancing the absorption of carefully selected medical-grade skincare products.
Unlike many standard microneedling treatments, every procedure at MPower Clinic is individually tailored to your skin. Needle depth, needle cartridge selection, treatment intensity and the medical-grade skincare or regenerative treatment cocktail used are all carefully chosen according to your skin type, treatment area and individual concerns. If different areas require different needle depths, cartridges or active products during the same appointment, these are all included as part of your bespoke treatment to ensure the safest and most effective outcome. This personalised approach also means medical-grade microneedling can be safely performed on all skin tones, including darker skin types, whilst minimising the risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation.
Microneedling may help improve:
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Acne scars and other scars
• Enlarged pores
• Uneven skin tone and texture
• Dull or dehydrated skin
• Stretch marks
• Loss of firmness and elasticity
When performed appropriately, medical-grade microneedling is suitable for all skin tones, including darker skin types, with treatment protocols adjusted to minimise the risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation.
Where Can Microneedling Be Used and What Treatment Upgrades Are Available?
Microneedling is a highly versatile treatment and can be performed on the:
• Face
• Neck
• Décolletage
• Hands
• Scalp
• Selected body areas, including stretch marks and scars
Every treatment includes a bespoke selection of medical-grade skincare and regenerative peptides chosen specifically for your skin, creating a doctor-designed treatment protocol.
For patients looking to maximise their results, advanced regenerative upgrades are also available:
• Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
Uses your own concentrated growth factors to further stimulate collagen production, tissue repair and skin rejuvenation.
• Nouveau Visage® Regen3 Complex™
Combines exosomes, polynucleotides and biomimetic peptides to enhance cellular communication, reduce inflammation and support advanced tissue regeneration.
• Superficial Chemical Peel
Can be combined with selected treatments to further improve skin brightness, pigmentation and overall skin radiance where clinically appropriate.
What Concerns Can Microneedling Treat and What Is the Recovery Like?
Microneedling is suitable for a wide range of skin concerns, with the treatment depth tailored according to your individual goals.
For general skin rejuvenation, collagen stimulation and improved skin quality, shallower treatments typically result in mild redness and sensitivity for 12–24 hours, allowing most patients to return to normal activities the following day.
When treating deeper concerns such as acne scarring, stretch marks or established wrinkles, greater needle depths are required to stimulate more significant collagen remodelling. These treatments involve a little more downtime, with redness, swelling and sensitivity commonly lasting 48–96 hours.
Many patients notice brighter, healthier-looking skin within the first 1–2 weeks, whilst improvements in collagen, firmness and skin texture continue to develop over the following 4–6 weeks.
For the best long-term results, we usually recommend an initial course of 4–6 treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments as required.
