Polynucleotides
Doctor led aesthetic clinic, west midlands
What are Polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides are advanced regenerative injectable treatments designed to improve skin quality by stimulating your body's own natural repair processes. Rather than adding volume like dermal fillers, they work at a cellular level to encourage tissue regeneration, improve hydration and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin.
At MPower Clinic, we primarily use Nucleofill® or Plinest® available for selected indications. Each has slightly different properties, allowing your treatment to be tailored to your individual concerns.
Polynucleotides can help improve:
• Fine lines and early wrinkles
• Loss of firmness and elasticity
• Dull or dehydrated skin
• Crepey or thinning skin
• Uneven skin texture
• Sun-damaged skin
• Delicate under-eye concerns
• Stretch marks and selected body concerns
Results develop gradually as your skin repairs itself, creating healthier, stronger and more radiant skin whilst maintaining completely natural-looking results.
Where Can Polynucleotides be Used?
Polynucleotides are highly versatile regenerative treatments and can be used on several areas of the face and body, depending on your concerns.
Common treatment areas include:
• Face – to improve hydration, firmness, skin quality and early signs of ageing.
• Under-eyes – to target crepey skin, fine lines, dark circles and tired-looking eyes.
• Neck and décolletage – to strengthen thin, ageing skin and improve texture.
• Hands – to improve skin quality and reduce visible signs of ageing.
• Body – including selected areas affected by stretch marks, crepey skin or cellulite.
Treatment is tailored to your individual anatomy and concerns, and multiple areas can often be combined as part of a personalised treatment plan.
How Do Polynucleotides Compare With Other Regenerative Skin Treatments?
Polynucleotides are one of several regenerative treatments available at MPower Clinic, each working in a different way to improve skin quality. Rather than simply adding volume or hydration, polynucleotides stimulate your skin's natural repair processes, encouraging collagen production, improving elasticity, reducing inflammation and supporting healthier, stronger skin over time.
Compared with skin boosters, which primarily focus on delivering deep hydration using hyaluronic acid, polynucleotides place greater emphasis on tissue repair, collagen stimulation and long-term skin regeneration. Many patients benefit from combining both treatments to improve both skin quality and hydration.
Compared with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), which uses growth factors from your own blood to stimulate tissue repair, polynucleotides provide a consistent regenerative treatment without the need for blood collection. They are particularly well suited to patients with sensitive, inflamed or environmentally damaged skin because of their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Our most advanced regenerative treatment, Nouveau Visage® Regen3 Complex™, combines over 100 billion exosomes, polynucleotides (PDRN) and biomimetic peptides. This multi-modal approach supports cellular communication alongside tissue repair and may be recommended for patients seeking the highest level of regenerative skin rejuvenation.
At MPower Clinic, we offer both Nucleofill® and Plinest®, selecting the most appropriate product based on your skin quality and treatment goals. Nucleofill® is particularly effective for improving hydration, antioxidant protection and overall skin resilience, whilst Plinest® places greater emphasis on collagen stimulation, firmness and elasticity.
Most patients benefit from an initial course of 3 treatments, spaced 2–4 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 6–9 months. Improvements in skin hydration and quality are often noticeable within 2–4 weeks, with collagen remodelling and continued skin improvement developing over the following months.
