Profhilo® H+L · Profhilo® Structura
Doctor led aesthetic clinic, west midlands
What Is Profhilo® and What Are the Different Types?
Profhilo® is an injectable bio-remodelling treatment made from one of the highest concentrations of ultrapure hyaluronic acid available. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, it is not designed to create volume or alter facial contours. Instead, it spreads beneath the skin to improve hydration, stimulate collagen and elastin production, and restore overall skin quality. The specialist patented technology combines high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, allowing the product to integrate smoothly into the tissues while encouraging natural regeneration.
At MPower Clinic, we offer both Profhilo® H+L and Profhilo® Structura, each designed to target different aspects of the ageing process.
Profhilo® H+L focuses primarily on skin quality. It deeply hydrates the skin whilst stimulating collagen and elastin, improving firmness, elasticity, fine lines and overall radiance. It is ideal for patients beginning to notice skin laxity or those wanting healthier, more youthful-looking skin without adding volume.
Profhilo® Structura works at a deeper level. Whilst it also contains hyaluronic acid, it has been specifically developed to support the superficial facial fat compartments affected by ageing. Rather than acting as a filler, it aims to restore structural support by improving the quality of the tissues surrounding these fat compartments, helping to improve facial definition and produce a subtle lifting effect in carefully selected patients.
Both treatments provide natural-looking results and can be used individually or combined as part of a comprehensive facial rejuvenation plan.
Is Profhilo® H+L or Profhilo® Structura For Me?
Although both belong to the Profhilo® family, they are designed for different concerns.
Profhilo® H+L is generally recommended for patients whose main concern is declining skin quality. It is particularly suitable if you have:
• Dehydrated or dull skin
• Fine lines and early wrinkles
• Mild skin laxity
• Loss of elasticity
• Crepey skin affecting the face, neck or décolletage
• A desire for natural skin rejuvenation without adding facial volume
Profhilo® Structura is usually recommended when ageing has progressed beyond the skin itself and there is evidence of deeper structural change, particularly age-related loss or repositioning of the superficial facial fat compartments. It may be suitable if you have:
• Early loss of facial support
• Flattening of the cheeks
• Mild jowl formation
• Reduced facial definition
• A desire for subtle structural rejuvenation without traditional dermal fillers
Many patients benefit from both treatments, with Profhilo® H+L improving the quality of the skin whilst Profhilo® Structura supports the deeper facial tissues. During your consultation, Dr Mäla will assess your anatomy, skin quality and treatment goals before recommending the most appropriate option—or combination of treatments—for you.
What Alternatives Are There To Profhilo®?
Whilst Profhilo® is one of the most popular injectable skin rejuvenation treatments, it isn't the only option. The most appropriate treatment depends on whether your primary concern is skin quality, tissue regeneration or volume loss.
Other Skin Boosters
Treatments such as Stylage® HydroMax, Teoxane Redensity 1 (babyGLOW™) and Seventy Hyal® 2000 are designed to improve skin hydration and overall quality. Each has its own strengths—HydroMax provides intense hydration with subtle plumping and tissue support, babyGLOW™ focuses on radiance and skin texture, whilst Seventy Hyal® offers lightweight hydration and is an excellent maintenance or preventative treatment. Depending on your skin concerns, one of these may be more suitable than Profhilo®.
Regenerative Skin Rejuvenation
If your skin requires more than hydration alone, treatments such as polynucleotides, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and Advanced Exosomes + PDRN + Peptide Therapy (Nouveau Visage® Regen3 Complex™) stimulate your body's natural repair processes. These treatments encourage collagen production, improve skin quality and support long-term regeneration, making them particularly beneficial for damaged, ageing or thinning skin.
Dermal Fillers
Unlike Profhilo®, dermal fillers are designed to restore lost volume, enhance facial contours and improve structural support. They are often the better choice when concerns such as flattened cheeks, deeper folds or facial asymmetry are caused by volume loss rather than changes in skin quality. Fillers can also be combined with Profhilo® to address both skin quality and facial structure for a more comprehensive rejuvenation.
At MPower Clinic, treatment recommendations are always personalised. Following a detailed consultation, we'll recommend the treatment—or combination of treatments—that best suits your anatomy, skin quality and long-term aesthetic goals.
