What is Botulinum Toxin?
Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine used to temporarily relax targeted muscles. By reducing repetitive muscle movement, it may smooth fine lines, soften wrinkles, and prevent new lines from forming, all while maintaining natural facial expression.
This treatment may be highly effective for men and women seeking a refreshed appearance without invasive procedures.
Where Can We Use Botulinum Toxin?
Upper Face: Forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, brow lift.
Mid/Lower Face & Profile: Bunny lines, under-eye jelly roll, nasal tip lift, nasal slimming, lip flip, gummy smile, downturned mouth, chin dimpling, jawline tightening.
Advanced Body/Contour: Masseter slimming and Trapezius toxin (shoulder contouring/tension relief).
What to Expect?
Procedure: Use of a fine needle with minimal discomfort. Normal activities can be resumed immediately.
Timeline: Visible in 4–7 days; full effect at 2 weeks. May lasts 3–4 months.
Review: Offered at 2–4 weeks for safe adjustments. Exceptionally strong muscles requiring higher doses may incur a top-up fee, agreed at consultation.

DOWNTIME
Minimal, there may be some redness or swelling present after treatment.
RECOMMENDED SESSIONS
Maintenance every 3-4 months.
PAIN LEVEL
Mild discomfort (fine needle injections).
SIDE EFFECTS
Redness, swelling, mild bruising, tenderness at injection sites.
Treatment Side Effects
Normal: Mild redness, swelling, bruising, or transient headache typically resolve within days.
Rare: Asymmetry or temporary drooping will be discussed during consultation.
Urgent: Contact the clinic immediately if you experience visual disturbances, severe/increasing pain, or spreading redness.
Pre-Treatment Advice
• Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours before treatment.
• Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, fish oils, garlic supplements, Vitamin E, Gingko Biloba, and St John's Wort for 3 days before treatment where possible, as these may increase the risk of bruising and bleeding. Do not stop any prescribed blood-thinning medication without consulting your prescribing doctor.
• If you are prone to bruising, oral arnica may be helpful for a few days before treatment.
• Do not attend treatment if you are unwell or have an active skin infection, including cold sores.
• Avoid scheduling treatment within 2 weeks of an important event, holiday, vaccination, or significant dental treatment where possible, as a review appointment or adjustment may occasionally be required.
• Inform your practitioner of any recent aesthetic treatments performed elsewhere.
• Inform your practitioner of any changes to your medical history, medications, or allergies.
• Arrive with clean, product-free skin.
Post-Treatment Advice
• Most people can resume their normal daily activities immediately after treatment.
• Redness, mild swelling, tenderness, and pin-prick marks at the injection sites are common and should settle within a few hours.
• Mild bruising may occur and can occasionally become more noticeable over the following few days.
• Some people may develop a mild headache for a few days after treatment. Paracetamol may be taken if required.
• Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated area for 24 hours.
• Remain upright and avoid lying down for 4 hours after treatment.
• Gently cleanse your face in the evening without rubbing the treated areas.
• Avoid make-up for 12 hours.
• Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, steam rooms, saunas, hot baths, and extremes of temperature for 24–48 hours.
• Avoid facials, dermal fillers, chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments, and microdermabrasion for at least 2 weeks.
• Avoid swimming pools and sunbeds until any redness and swelling have settled.
• Please allow the full treatment period (up to 14 days) before assessing your final result.
