What Is Botulinum Toxin/Relfydess?
Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine used to temporarily relax targeted muscles. Relfydess is a newer type of botulinum toxin from the premium well-known brand Galderma. It is known to have a faster onset and last longer. By reducing repetitive muscle movement, it may smooth fine lines, soften wrinkles, and prevent new lines from forming, all while maintaining natural facial expression.
This treatment may be highly effective for men and women seeking a refreshed appearance without invasive procedures.
Where Can We Use Relfydess?
Upper Face: Forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, brow lift.
Mid/Lower Face & Profile: Bunny lines, nasal tip lift, nasal slimming, lip flip, gummy smile, downturned mouth, chin dimpling, jawline tightening.
What Is the Difference Between Relfydess and Botox?
Relfydess® and Botox® are both highly effective, premium forms of Botulinum Toxin. Both are prescription-only medicines with excellent safety profiles when administered by a qualified medical professional.
The main difference is how quickly they work and how long they last. Many people start to notice results from Relfydess within 24–48 hours, with some seeing improvements as early as the next day. Botox typically begins to work within 3–5 days, with full results developing over around 2 weeks.
Both treatments are designed to deliver natural-looking results that allow you to look refreshed rather than frozen. Results from Botox typically last 3–4 months, whereas patients tend to find that Relfydess lasts around 4-6 months.
Both are excellent treatment options, and there is no one-size-fits-all answer as to which is "better". Although results tend to last longer with Relfydess, the pay off is that the product stings much more than Botox, creating an uncomfortable experience. During your consultation, your doctor will discuss your goals and recommend the treatment that is most suitable for you.

DOWNTIME
Minimal, there may be some redness or swelling present after treatment.
RECOMMENDED SESSIONS
Maintenance every 5-7 months.
PAIN LEVEL
Medium discomfort (often compared to bee sting sensation).
SIDE EFFECTS
Redness, swelling, mild bruising, tenderness at injection sites.
Possible Side Effects
Normal: Mild redness, swelling, bruising, or transient headache typically resolve within days.
Rare: Asymmetry or temporary drooping will be discussed during consultation.
Urgent: Contact the clinic immediately if you experience visual disturbances, severe/increasing pain, or spreading redness.
Pre-Treatment Advice
• Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning supplements where appropriate for 2–3 days before treatment.
• Attend with clean skin and inform us of any changes to your medical history, medications, or recent illness.
• Avoid booking treatment within two weeks of an important event, as results continue to develop after treatment.
Comprehensive pre-treatment instructions and suitability information will be provided after booking.
Post-Treatment Advice
• Avoid rubbing the treated area, lying flat for 4 hours, and strenuous exercise or excessive heat for 24–48 hours.
• Mild redness or small bumps at the injection sites usually settle within a few hours.
• Results develop gradually over the following days.
